Experts Question Flip-Flops In The Workplace And Their Effect On Our Feet.

Women are wearing flip flops in the workplace more and more, especially in these warmer months. U.S. style experts believe that flip flops could be damaging not only our feet but our careers.

There are so many new styles of flip flops: beaded, leather, sequins that women feel it is easy to get away with wearing them to work.

An employee of West Glenn Communications comments that she wears flip-flops on the days she doesn’t have important meetings with clients or avoids wearing them if she knows that someone who disapproves will be in the office.

Thousands of women across the country consider flip-flops an indispensable element in their summer wardrobe.

An Old Navy and Gap online survey showed that flip-flops were at the top of the list as summer work attire for high school and college students. More than 31 % of the women surveyed said that flip-flops were essential part for their summer work wardrobe.

Many companies feel differently.

A spokeswoman for BNP Paribas says that if a dress code says no beachwear this includes flip flops.

Style experts advise that flip-flops could be detrimental to a career. Younger women are the ones who tend to wear them to work.

Style commentator Meghan Cleary says, "Shoes convey the mood of a woman. Wearing flip-flops conveys the mood that you are relaxed and on vacation. That's not a good message in the office,"

Doctors also have concerns about the effect of flip-flops on the feet.

Doctors at the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons say that flip-flops are connected to a rising number of heel problems among teens and young adults.

A representative recently said, "We're seeing more heel pain than ever in patients 15 to 25 years old, a group that usually doesn't have this problem.” She said that thin soled flip-flops give no arch support and can intensify abnormal biomechanics in foot motion. This will ultimately cause pain and inflammation.

Flip-flops have been around for at least 70 years, originating from traditional Japanese woven, and possibly wooden soled sandals in New Zealand.

The Y-shaped and flat soled sandal is known all over the world and to all social classes.
It is very common in developing countries for its affordable price and sometimes the only shoe used because it is easy to make.

The term "flip-flop" gets its name from the slapping sound the sandal makes when it hits the ground and the heel.

A few years ago the life of the flip flop changed completely. They became trendy and popular. All kinds of stores sell them in a variety of colors with all kinds of decorations. There is even a bridal Flip flop which is full of Swarovski crystals and sells for $140.

In June 2005 the Northwestern University’s champion woman’s lacrosse team wore flip-flops to the White House to meet the President. It was considered inappropriate attire and the women were criticized

Ellen Campuzano, president of the Committee of Color and Trends, a New York-based forecasting service specializing in footwear and accessories, believes that flip-flops' popularity has almost run its course.

"Usually these trends come and go in about five years," she said. "I think we've reached the peak. They can't be any more widespread, so maybe next summer something will replace them."

Competitors - Learn To Exploit Their Weaknesses

Competitors are one of your largest business threats. You have to know who your competitors are and how they operate. You will use this information to decide how to position yourself, where you price yourself, and how you're perceived by your marketplace. Competitor Analysis When you research your competitors you should list what kinds of companies are your biggest competition. Possible competitor types you should consider are: Big PC manufacturers Computer consulting moonlighters Established computer consulting businesses Software producers and distributors Once you decide which types of competitors pose the most threat, go through the list and identify specific companies in each category that you consider to be significant competitors. When you have a good idea who exactly your largest competitors are, then you need to find out how they operate. You need to uncover their biggest strengths and biggest weaknesses. You want to be able to exploit their weaknesses. In fact a lot of your business value will come from exploiting your competitors' weaknesses. Listen to what people are saying in the large electronics stores and warehouses. Talk to your friends, family, coworkers, and acquaintances. What are they saying about computer support? What are they complaining about? What causes them frustration? Use this information to be better than your competitors. You need to understand how you can be better than your competitors and then use that information to fit yourself into the market. The Bottom Line on Competitors Competitors will always be around. Your job as a new business owner is to understand how you fit into the market. Figure out where your competitors are strong and where they are weak. Then exploit your competitors' weakness by positioning yourself as the obvious, better alternative. Copyright MMI-MMVI, Computer Consulting 101. Consultative Business Process Outsourcing (BPO)

Outsourcing = Global Momentum The global business landscape has changed dramatically in the last couple of years thanks to growth of outsourcing. Outsourcing has gained strength as a management strategy for sustaining global growth as well competitive advantage to overcome the challenges of ever growing business complexities. So whether it’s a Fortune 100 transnationals or even a small enterprise, everyone is looking at outsourcing as a key growth engine thanks to the increased levels of process specialization and sophistication. Domain specialization and not just economies of scale are key to the success of any outsourcing relationship. Outsourcing has been recognized to save companies and not just costs. Evolving Outsourcing Relationships Organisations now regard outsourcing as a key initiative for overall growth and not just as mere cost saving exercise. Hence organizations are increasingly seeking best-in-class outsourcing specialists and not just large best of breed outsourcing service providers. This is especially true in the IT & engineering verticals as organizations even outsource new product development tasks to specialized offshore vendors. Research intensive, customer focused outsourcing relationships now have to include the following to remain competitive: • Innovation Update. Quarterly, bi-annual, or annual innovation reviews (also known as innovation boards) focus typically on state of the market, industry trends and relevant information, technology updates, solution demonstrations, site visits, etc. Leverage other industry peer groups to understand what is happening in your industry, the outsourcing industry, and other sectors. • Benchmarking. Clients should always activate their benchmarking clauses and focus on best practice as comparators of innovation—not just cost comparisons. Benchmark both functional excellence and outsourced environments. • Stakeholder Satisfaction Surveys. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual customer satisfaction surveys. They should be “360 degrees”—covering multiple dimensions and all internal and external stakeholders. • Deliver on Partnering Promise. Hold regular collaborative planning sessions. Where people are briefed on the strategic and business objectives. Service providers need to come up with implantable strategies on how best they can meet their clients’ business challenges. This makes the outsourcing vendors to think and act above simple tactical delivery. • Value sharing framework. A transparent value-from-outsourcing sharing mechanism on a case-by-case basis should be harnessed to pay for business services delivered. Inclusion of regular mutual rewards for both your organization and that of the service provider boosts people motivation at all levels. • Service Excellence. All SLAs must be tied to process excellence or customer delight will not happen. Project milestones, “go-live” events, and pilots are tangible means of tracking process maturity & excellence. Other measures include customer satisfaction, productivity, Six Sigma (defects), work elimination, etc. • Outsourcing Management. The internal governance team should have a transformation or innovation owner, sufficient staff & budget to help drive innovation and must hold the provider accountable for innovation. Reassure and demonstrate to the provider that the relationship is long-term; otherwise they will be inclined to disinvest in innovation and the relationship. Your organization must retain process management expertise at a level at which you can clearly articulate future state requirements, evaluate proposals brought forward by the service provider, and work with your organization to get the business case for change. • Executive Visibility / Support. Senior executives from the service provider side must have high visibility and access. This includes steering committees, reciprocal headquarter visits, joint speaking engagements, regularly scheduled calls, quarterly and annual briefings. • Behaviour/Communication/Culture. Be prepared to invest in and encourage business process transformations that are aligned to business goals - rather early in any outsourcing relationship. Transformation requires a partnership mindset, not a transactional orientation. Innovation is often not brought to bear because clients do not ask for it, define what they mean by it, and motivate the provider to deliver it, or put restrictions around it. Clients rarely help the provider to understand what is important to them. Consultative BPO Outsourcing has now scaled the maturity milestone globally and hence is increasingly consultative in nature rather than being mere business vendors. Outsourcing relationships now proactively meet business challenges as specialist BPO vendors invest to stay ahead of the learning curve. Outsourcing is often regarded as a change catalyst and hence clients are increasing using outsourcing initiatives in their growth strategies/ employee career planning initiatives. Joint client-service provider partnering is key to this new consultative approach where both invest in transformations and not just fund reactive process management.

Exiting Your Company Gracefully

Since you own a business or plan on having one in the near future, you have an exit strategy, right? Your answer is probably “No”, which is typical for many people in their first venture of working for themselves. Every owner will eventually exit their business… even if they run it until they die. But then what?

Not having an exit strategy before, or very soon after, starting or buying a company is a dangerous proposition. An exit strategy is very important to your personal business plan as well as your tactical business plan. It gets you prepared for the future but also allows you to be ready if something unexpected happens such as an unsolicited offer to be bought out.

Knowing how you want to exit your company and when will allow you to build it successfully and get out at a high value rather than when you are bailing out. Exiting includes selling to an outsider, an investor, a partner, an employee or a family member. It could also mean not completely leaving but just selling, or giving up, enough interest to relinquish day-to-day control while still maintaining an income.

Without planning for these things, you can’t possibly build the value you need to get the money you desire or have the correct structure set up to allow you to sell the business or even give it to a family member. Don’t forget, almost every small business is very dependent on its founders. That makes a company very difficult to sell if the founders want to eventually have nothing to do with the company after the sale.

Having a consultant help you with the set-up of an exit plan is usually a very good idea. Especially since most business owners tend to over value their company’s worth or future worth and also do not know how to handle things internally in terms of employees.

Here are a few of the many things to consider for an exit plan:
- How would you like to exit your company (full sale, partial sale, asset sale, etc)?
- Who would you like to sell your company to (competitor, experienced owner, family member, etc)?
- How long are you willing to stay on to help the buyer?
- What is your target profit on the sale after paying off any debt?
- Are you willing to hold a note for the buyer?
- What are your plans for your employees?
- What do you want to do once you are no longer involved in the company?
- Where will your income come from once you exit the company?

Hopefully you now realize that owning a business also means planning to no longer own the business. Setting yourself and your company up to let you reap the rewards of your hard work and allow you to retire or move on to other ventures is not something to be taken lightly. Good luck and remember that we are always here to help.

Conversational Hypnosis - A Powerful Sales Tool

If you have not heard of conversational or covert hypnosis then it is time to you get to know about it. What is conversational / covert hypnosis? Conversational hypnosis is a term used by Ericksonian hypnotherapists to create a trance using embedded words in the verbal text. Some people see this technique as unethical because the client has a right to knowingly participate in the development of trance. On the contrary, other specialists affirm that conversational hypnosis is a well-tested and effective Ericksonian technique, and definitively not unethical in any way. Conversational hypnosis is one of the most effective and efficient techniques of hypnotherapy in producing quick and permanent results. However, special training and skills are necessary to be able to effectively use this technique. How can conversational hypnosis relate to your sales job? If you have already gone through the special training to apply conversational hypnosis in your job, just think of the possibilities especially when you are trying to close a deal with a client. You are definitely going to experience a higher closing rate compare to those who have never heard conversational hypnosis. Every purchaser will have a motive. It is either something that they want to have, wished for or something that can potentially contribute to growth to whatever they are doing. For example why would an individual live a big house when he or she can live comfortably in an average sized home? Or why would a business owner expand his or her business to other states or overseas when it is doing well its current location? If you are equipped with the skill of conversational hypnosis, you will become a better sale person. Because some how or someway, you will be able to manage and convince your client that the product or service you are selling is what they want or something that can help improve whatever that they are doing. Do keep in mind though that such skill isn't only for selling. It is really a great addition to your life because you will be able to use conversional hypnosis to persuade an individual, a group or even large audience to do your bidding. Just imagine how nice it would be to get someone to do something for you just because you are too lazy to do it? Or just to do something as you please. Can conversational hypnosis be used in an unethical way? Obviously the answer would be YES. To the extent where you can even make a stranger give you all his cash in is wallet at that point of time. If such skill ever falls in the wrong hands, there would certainly be havoc. However the supply of appropriate training is very limited worldwide. Not many people can find the right access to the proper conversational hypnosis training courses. Even if there is one available, it will come at a hefty price tag. How would you know if you naturally have the skill of conversational hypnosis? Every individual would somehow be in a group of friends. Regardless of its size, as long as you know you're the leader of the group, you pretty much have the natural gift of conversational hypnosis. Unfortunately many of us aren't born leaders. This is where acquiring the knowledge and skills of conversational hypnosis will be beneficial. It's always better to be the leader in a group of friends or in a relationship because things will go your way, which is favorable to yourself. And the best part is your followers or companion will be happy to have it your way. Isn't that wonderful?

Excellent real estate values on PEI

The province features rolling hills and grasslands reminiscent of England and has a largely English speaking population of British descent, although there is a small French population as well. PEI is probably best known for its famed writer Lucy Maud Montgomery and her character Anne of Green Gables and the ubiquous lobster supper.

PEI offers real estate values unsurpassed in North America. Waterfront property abounds and is priced most reasonably, especially as PEI was named one of the 10 Best Islands in the world. PEI boasts a plethora of waterfront real estate as the coastline is very jagged. It is therefore possible to buy PEI waterfront properties either directly on the ocean, or in more sheltered areas such as the many adjoining bays, inlets and rivers.

Waterfront real estate on PEI currently starts at around $50,000 for a cottage lot, and there are many waterfront developments that offer lots of various sizes that allow you to build the summer home or cottage of your dreams. Alternatively you can buy an existing home on water frontage starting as low as $200,000.

Real estate opportunities on PEI don't end there however. There are many investment opportunities in rental properties. Many investors buy summer homes, using them for their own summer holidays and then renting them to other visitors and in this way paying most of the mortage. If you are interested in a tourist business you can purchase large heritage homes in Summerside from $300,000 and up. These convert into bed and breakfasts or if you would rather deal in all year rentals they can be converted to apartments. Small starter homes in the city centre start in the $60s and many can produce a positive cash flow. Remember, if you are out of province you can have your property professionally managed by a realtor.

If your interest is in business investment there are many industrial parks including Slemon Park, a former military base with airport and hotel. Slemon Park is home to the Justice Academy, Honeywell, Testori, and Atlantic Turbine. There is room for your business here.

Whatever your real estate goals they can be realized in PEI. PEI is easily accessible from any part of the world with flights from Toronto and Boston directly to Charlottetown Airport by Air Canada, Westjet and Delta. From other points there are flights to Halifax and easy connections. If you are travelling by car, the island is accessible by the Confederation Bridge, a 13 km span finished in 1997 or by ferry from Caribou, Nova Scotia to Woods Island PEI.

However you arrive, just come visit our island.

Contact Lenses or Spectacles?

While plenty of people still wear glasses, there seems little doubt that they’re on the way out. There’s no doubt that putting them in and taking them out can be scary at first, but once you’re used to it they are much more convenient than having bulky glasses on your face, not to mention almost invisible, even to people who get close to your eyes. Vanity isn’t the only reason to wear contact lenses, though. For many people, it is simply more practical – they work better for sport or any kind of manual work, for example, where glasses could easily get damaged. Contact lenses are also not subject to the many things that can go wrong with glasses, such smashing, breaking, or being affected by the weather (when they get rained on, for example). If you’re just entering the world of contact lenses, though, it can feel like a bit of a maze. What should you get? Hard lenses or soft? Daily lenses or monthly? Each option comes with its advantages and disadvantages. The easiest question to tackle is probably that of hard lenses. While hard lenses are still used in many parts of the world, this is mainly down to reasons of habit – people who are already using them are unlikely to switch. To the new user, hard lenses offer no advantages, and they are incredibly uncomfortable until you get used to them. It is much better to simply go with soft lenses. When it comes to the question of whether daily disposable lenses are better, however, there is some controversy. Once you factor in the cost of cleaning solution for monthly lenses, there is little difference in price, but some people simply prefer not to buy and throw away so many lenses. Ultimately, though, daily disposables tend to be thinner and therefore more comfortable, as well as costing you less if you happen to lose one, which makes them better suited to the beginner.

Evolution of Online Customized Stamps Industry

Stamps have become indispensable for both business houses and independent entrepreneurs and individuals, and what we witness today is a definite metamorphosis viz a viz the manufacturing process of stamping, and modernization with regard to the distribution channel.

Ever since they were invented in the year 1886, stamps have evolved in the true sense of the word- from seals made of different materials made by our ancestors to laser technology used by present day stamp manufacturers. Today, you can forget the long, tedious wait for your stamps; just visit a good online store and get customized stamps in the minimum possible time, thanks to the revolution in the stamp making process. It really is a remarkable transformation.

As individuals, business houses and government departments realized the importance of stamps, hundreds of stamp making companies mushroomed around the United States to cater to the growing demand. Rubber stamps enjoyed immense popularity throughout the century and find application within diverse areas in contemporary times. The rapid technological advancement in all sectors has not left stamps untouched. Usage of state-of-art laser technology in stamp making has given a new face to the the whole process and ascertained that there are minimum errors and faster production. Most of the ten million dollar custom stamp houses boast of usage of laser technology in the stamp making process, something which has changed the very face of the stamping industry. Single inks stamps have given way to multi-colored ones, for use by individuals, institutions and artists, flash stamps have become the order of the day.

The stamping evolution

The stamping industry has not been left untouched by the communication revolution sparked by the Internet, and has changed the very face of modern commerce. Though more and more stores dealing with stamps mushroomed across the United States to cater to the immense demand of stamps from different quarters in the mid 20th century, it was the popularity of the Internet that gave an immense boost to this trade in the form of numerous online rubber stamp stores offering the latest in stamps and pampering the customers with numerous add-ons.

Contrary to the initial belief that online stamp stores can never replace traditional outlets, online stamping concerns have started doing greater business. Uncomplicated procedures, easy payment methods, access to valuable information about products and excellent quality ensure that more customers buy products from these online stores. It would not really be fair to say that the online shopping channel has completely replaced the traditional one, but yes, an increasing number of people are realizing the convenience that comes with the Internet.

Considering the fact that deadlines are no longer synonymous with the newspaper profession and almost every customer insists on faster deliveries, the best online stamping stores like XpressStamp offer to deliver orders in minimum time possible, say a maximum of 78 hours. Of course, faster deliveries come with the assurance of quality for, ignoring the latter in the modern day competitive market is a sure route to doom. The same has had a definite positive impact on the quality offered. More manufacturers are also realizing the importance of good quality and offering the customers the best available.

Research by internationally reputed agencies has proved that discounts offered on products are not really a determining factor with regard to sales. Several websites have tried to lure potential customers with rebates but the response has proved that the contemporary buyer is more interested in the quality aspect of the product rather than discounts. In fact, this is a really positive trend and has resulted in the improvement of overall quality, not just in the business of stamping but also in others. Top websites dealing in stamps have started concentrating more on the quality of goods so that customers keep coming back again and again.

Innovative new products in the stamps market

The latest rage in the stamping industry, flash stamps and demand for the same has reached an all time high. Of course, this doesn't really mean that rubber stamps have become obsolete. However, newer products like flash stamps are definitely generations ahead of their predecessors. Offering excellent value for money, flash stamps are hassle free and 'cleaner' as compared to rubber stamps for you don't have to use an ink pad. Moreover the impressions made by flash stamps give a more 'professional' look. Despite the fact that flash stamps are more expensive as compared to rubber stamps, an increasing number of people are opting for them. This also proves that price is not the only factor that determines the popularity of a product. It is basically value for money that governs the contemporary buyer's decision.

Modern day stamp manufacturers are also witnessing a dramatic increase in orders for multi-colors stampscoming from both institutions and individuals. Gone are the days when people would use only single color stamps. Serving more than one purpose, these multicolored stamps are popular not just among traditional buyers but also artists around the world.

With technology and innovations providing newer, better options to people, stamps available today are truly high end and high quality. Whether you're an independent entrepreneur or a business house, stamping solutions can really enhance many aspects of your working. So pick from the range of stamps available today-- better still, go online, browse and order stamps online from the convenience of your desk. Ordering high quality stamps was never easier!

Citas a Ciegas

Choosing Your ID Card Printers

The major components in any ID Card System, ID Card Printers are many and varied. An ID card printer can perform many functions while printing an ID Card, and this is what makes them so useful. For example, while printing an image, an ID Card Printer could encode a magnetic stripe, a proximity card, or a smart card. The printer comes with software that manages the data that is printed or encoded on each card. The software handles all the functions and provides the printer with the necessary tools to perform all its functions at once. Before deciding which printer is right for your needs, consider what capabilities you want the printer to perform. You have to think about both the physical and technological properties of the printer and decide accordingly. As a rule, heavier ID card printers with a larger footprint have more abilities and are more durable. Lighter printers are usually better for less-intensive uses, and may have fewer capabilities, though this isn’t always the case. More properties you should take into consideration when choosing a printer are the following: Do you want a single or double-sided card? A single sided ID card is excellent for simpler uses, like a student or school employee ID card. A double-sided ID card can add more security to your company and can be better for a larger company or corporation that wants enhanced security. Do you require color images or monochromatic images? You should decide if you want a multi-colored image on your card or a simple monochromatic (one color) image. Is encoding like magnetic stripes, proximity cards, or smart cards required? Institutions like Government buildings, schools, banks, and hospitals all benefit from the quickness and hassle-free efficiency of proximity cards, contactless smart cards, and magnetic stripes. Contactless smart cards and proximity cards use Radio Frequency technology that allows for higher security, greater efficiency, and easier use (no swiping involved). Do you want other security features, like holograms? Besides basic encoding, there are also more complex forms of security for ID cards like holographic cards. A holographic card is created by transferring holographic over-laminates onto cards. This minimizes the risk of the printed image being altered and forged. Make sure you request a custom holograph if you go this route, as the ones you buy online can be bought by many others, including counterfeiters. These are some of the most basic questions you should answer before purchasing an ID card printer. Check with your provider if you have other questions and make sure you ask any questions you have. You’re investing in the security and organization of your company or facility, and having the right components can make all the difference in the type of Photo ID card you end up with. http://www.alphacard.com/

Everything you want is already here

Have you seen any miracles in your life?
Or maybe I should ask a better question…
Do you believe in miracles?
Give me the answer to either one of the questions, I can tell you your answer for the other.

Dr Wayne Dyer has a wonderful book “You will see it when you believe it”. It is a life changing reading. If you haven’t read it yet, you should get a copy.

I have seen lots of miracles in my own life, and I see miracles almost every day.

Wouldn’t that be a miracle if you are thinking of improving your health, an experienced Chinese Qi Qong master come into your life and become a very good friend and teacher?

Wouldn’t that be a miracle if you are thinking of improving your spiritual life, you suddenly find a book by a spiritual master in the early 20th century.

Wouldn’t that be a miracle if you want to improve your financial life, an retired multi-millionaire living on the other end of the world come to contact you and is willing to teach you his success secrets?

Wouldn’t that be a miracle when you want to do a joint venture, someone from nowhere come to contact you and turn out to make one of the best joint venture?

Wouldn’t that be a miracle when you think of a solution for a problem, and a brilliant idea suddenly hits you?

Miracle happens everywhere, it can happen to you as well.

And the good news is you can deliberately create miracle in your life, and you don’t have to do much work. All it takes is a few new thoughts and awareness. By putting these powerful new thoughts in to your consciousness, you are literally transforming your life.

I am going to write a series of lessons that you can use to create new miracles in your life.

The fist new awareness you need to learn is …

Everything you want is already here:

Einstein had spent years to prove one thing “Time does not exist, it only exist as an illusion in human’s mind”.

If time doesn’t exist, then yesterday is the same as today, and it is the same as tomorrow. Then there is only one time that is now.
If time does not exist, then every thing that possibly exists will be existing here. Imagine you are traveling from point A to point B, but it takes no time because time doesn’t exist. You now can instantly travel from A to B. Then what is the distance between point A and point B. There is no distance; they both exist at the same place and at the same time. There is only one place in the world, and that is here. Think deeply what this really means. Suppose point A is where you are now, and point B is the where you want to be in your imaginary future, or say it your goals, you can now instantly travel from where you are to where you want to be. Yes, I mean INSTANTLY.

Everything that can possibly exist exists here, including the picture you are holding in your mind. If you don’t believe it, ask yourself “where can it be if it is not here?” The answer is nowhere. The things you imagine in your mind is nothing artificial, it is as real as your legs and arms.

Scientists explain the world as a world of possibility, everything in this world exist as a probability. The picture you imagine in your mind exists as a probability that is already in quantum field waiting to take form. The only thing that makes you feel separate from it is the illusion of time. And as you already know, that is just an illusion. In fact, the picture you formed in your mind is already here.

The easiest way to get rid of the illusion of time and bring your pictures into physical form is to simply choose. Choose to see the picture in your reality, and accept it as a fact. That is all that takes. Do you remember how easy you can change a radio station? When you are tired of listening to one station, you can simply change to another one. Life is as simple as that, choose your own picture, and the universe will supply.

Here is something I want you to do after reading this lesson.

Choose one thing you really want, form a picture firmly in your mind, and tell yourself that it is already here, and accept it as a fact. Do this as often as possible and you will get addict to it. See how fast you will create miracles in your life.

Next week, I will share with you are secrets mantra that you can use to immediately get connected to the higher intelligence, and create any miracle you want. It is that powerful.

Checklist Before Starting a Home Based Business

When you are looking for a home business opportunity, it is important to make sure that you are aware of all that you will be required to bring to the equation. This can help save you a lot of confusion and money by avoiding opportunities that require too much from you to get started. Here is a checklist of thing that you should consider before selecting a home business opportunity. 1. Do you need to get a license to run the business? Many states require that businesses get a license before they are allowed to open. This includes home businesses in many locations. Check with your local government agencies to see what you will need to have in place to start your own home business. 2. Do you need a zoning permit? If you have a home business opportunity that requires doing actual business with the public, you are going to need to make sure that you will not be in violation of any zoning laws. Most cities have very strict residential zoning requirements and it is not hard to violate them. Make sure that the type of business you want to start will be acceptable to run at your current location. 3. How much equipment will you need to buy? You’ll need to know exactly how much money you’re going to have to spend to get your business operational. While some home business opportunities require just a computer, others may need a special printer, extra software, additional gadgets or even heavy equipment. This can add up in a short period of time. Make sure that you are aware of all the expenses that you will incur before you start up. 4. Do you have enough space in your home to devote to your business? Running an informational company is one thing, but if you are going to be stocking products in your home, you’re going to need enough space. For tax purposes, you’re also going to have to have a room that is completely devoted to your home business. This means no kid’s toys, or anything from your normal family life can intrude on this room. If you don’t have this kind of space you may need to add on to your home to accommodate your business. 5. Will you need to purchase any insurance? If you are doing business with the public at your home, you will need to get liability insurance. This will help protect you if anyone falls on your property or injures themselves in anyway. If you will be storing products, you will need to have them insured in case there is a flood or they get damaged in any way. Lastly, you may want to consider business protection insurance that will help you in the event of any copyright infringement claims or other common complaints. Don’t forget your own health insurance, or any insurance that you may need to provide for employees. This can add up quickly and increase your overall start up costs.

Everyone Wins With Private Label Rights

Would you believe a person if they told you that it was possible to take another person’s work, change it anyway you please and call the edited material yours?

What if that person also told you that besides being able to do so, you could actually profit from that work and not be liable for any copyright infringement?

If you haven’t heard of private label rights, then most likely you’d think they were pulling your leg. But all the above are true if you are able secure these rights.

But what are private label rights?

To understand why private label rights are so special, you need to know about resale and master resale first.

Resale rights are simply permission from the owner of a work (a book, for example) to allow you to take the said material and distribute it for your own profit.

Master resale rights take it a step further and allow you to sell the resale rights to the work. The reason why it is called master resale rights is because it covers a large set of permissible actions to the person who acquires those rights.

Experts would tell you that to get the most of your purchasing of master resale rights, the following list of actions should allow you to:

1. give the material away unaltered
2. combine the material with others
3. give the material away as a bonus item
4. use the material a content for websites
5. divide the product into separate articles
6. put the rights for the material or the material itself up for auction
7. provide the material as content for paid membership sites
8. sell resale rights for the material
9. change or alter the material

Buying the whole set of these rights is great but it can cost you. But there is a way to get almost all of these actions and not have to pay as much for master resale rights IF you acquire just the right to change or alter the material, which is exactly what private label rights are.

With these set of rights, you are given permission to change another person’s work. By altering the material, you have made the work your own which then allows you to profit from the material any way you intend to.

Let’s say you were able to acquire private label rights for a particular ebook. What can you do?

For starters, you can break up the book into separate chapters and then sell these as articles. On the other hand, if you were able to acquire private label rights for a set of articles, you could combine them and package it as a book, which you then can sell.

You can change the material’s content by adding or removing details. You can also add pictures or illustrations as well as other media like sound or video clips.

All of these actions are possible but the best part about private label rights is that you are not obligated to mention the original author (or pay them any royalties) for the changes you have done to his or her material. You can claim the material as yours by putting your name as the author of the material.

With these changes, the ways on capitalizing on them are many.

You can come up with a whole new set of products from a single material source. Take an ebook for example. On one hand, you’ve broken up the book to sell them as articles. On the other, you’ve enhanced the book’s content with media to package it as your own work and putting it up for sale on the market.

Acquiring private label rights is a great way to create a brand for your business. As you may already know, one of the keys to a successful business is to distinguish yourself from the rest. With private label rights, you can change the material and make it uniquely yours. If your target market likes your material, your market can perceive you as an expert in your line of business, which is something you can really capitalize on as you sell your products or services.

However, it is not only the person who acquires private label rights who stands to benefit from it. It may be difficult to understand at first, but selling private label rights benefits even the original creator.

With the increasing demand for original material to be sold with private label rights, a writer can make good money from his or her work. The incentive is that he or she can command a higher price for the work given the rights that go with the material.

Furthermore, selling the right to change the material any way the buyer wants is actually giving new life to the material. By giving the buyer the freedom to change the content in a number of creative ways, the material’s usability sand relevance is extended.

By compensating the original content creator well; by allowing freedom and flexibility for the purchaser; and by giving the end user a wealth of very useful information, private label rights are by far one of the best things out there in the world of online marketing.

Choosing The Right Keywords Is Of The Utmost Importance

Know what words your customers will use when searching. You might know what your customers search for. If not, find out. Is it a description of "pants" or "jeans?" One may be searched more often than the other, but why not target both? How about "executive gifts?" Maybe "desk accessories" will broaden your web site marketing strategy. Ask all kinds of people. Get advice from people in all walks of life including management, employees, customers, vendors, friends and family on how they would search for effective search engine positioning keywords. Ask them how they would search for different products and services. It's really not about what you think they would search for, its about what they think. Believe me, they can many times be two totally different things. Once you have successfully harvested a meaningful keyword list, remove any keywords that are too targeted or not to specific. Also remember that keyword placement is important. Try to put as many keywords as possible in the beginning paragraphs, and of course the title line. The higher the value of the keyword the more competition you will have. Every SEO utilizes tools similar to the Overture Keyword Suggestion Tool and also know the value of a keyword. The lower the value of the keyword the less competition we will have. We don't want to aim to low but we also don't want to aim to high. We need to find a middle ground. For you that may be a keyword with a value of no less than 1000 and no more than 10,000. It will be up to you to determine what you deem reasonable. Also, the keywords should appear regularly throughout the opening Web page. It is especially important that they appear frequently in the opening paragraphs. However, resist the temptation to overuse keywords. The search engines can spot it and will reduce your page rankings. Tools are available to help with optimal keyword density. However, avoid software that writes the site's pages. Search engines can sniff these out, too. A good rule of thumb is: Never sacrifice quality of content for keyword placement. This will affect your page ranking. Most importantly, your site won't appeal to visitors. Event Management, Body Language And Qualified Release

Stuart Burns was having a bad day. Not only had he arrived late for the seminar because of the server problem at work last night, he was finding it difficult to concentrate because of the stream of text messages coming in to his cell phone. He couldn't bring himself to turn it off just in case something catastrophic was happening back at base so he set it to mute and tried to keep an eye on it while he listened to the presenters. Now the effects of his disturbed sleep were catching up on him and his extreme body language shouted that he was in the wrong place.

Audiences suffering from information overload will give very clear signals that they are ready for a break. Their eyes start to glaze over, they slump in their seats and when you ask them questions, it is as though you are rousing them from a deep sleep. Bladders may be straining, nicotine and caffeine cravings may be kicking in and vibrating text messages are surreptitiously being viewed. It's time to declare an unofficial break! If you push on regardless you may lose your audience completely.

This situation can often happen on hot, humid days when the air-conditioning is underperforming or in windowless rooms where the lack of outside views can have a profound psychological effect on your delegates.

A ten minute unscheduled break in these circumstances can make the difference between success and failure for your event.

Manage the coffee and meal breaks rigidly as a few 5 or 10 minute overruns can soon lose you half an hour from the program.

Managing early departures

It is a fairly frequent occurrence that a proportion of your audience will be unable to stay for the entire event. This is understandable in these times of full schedules and instant communication. The more polite amongst them will forewarn you of this and tender their apologies. Some will make a dash for the door with their heads down and others will mumble an excuse as they walk sideways past the presenter towards the exit.

If you have prior warning, try and sit your early leavers close to the exit even if they have been sitting elsewhere during the event. That way, when they have to take their leave, they can do it with minimum fuss and interruption.

Whichever exit routine your early leavers use, make sure that they have an opportunity to give you some instant feedback before they leave and take the time to thank them for however much time they have been able to spend with you. Their early exit is unlikely to be an insult to your organizational or presentational skills. More likely they have a plane or train to catch, so treat them respectfully.

Stuart was so relieved when one of the seminar administrators approached him during a coffee break to ask if there was a problem. She listened and, promising to book him on the next seminar, helped him organize a taxi.

Event Etiquette

The workshop was over. The delegates had long gone and Margaret Kerr was recovering with a cup of coffee. The room was strewn with sheets of flip chart paper, the debris of the buffet lunch and countless empty coffee cups covered every horizontal surface in the room. Margaret was drained. The workshop had been a tough one for a trainer; the delegates had all been sharp and smart; they had challenged her knowledge and demanded long explanations of the reasons behind the theories she was asking them to buy into. She looked at the bomb-site that was once an orderly training room and knew she didn't have the energy to do much more than crawl to her car. After all, she reasoned, the conference center cleaning staff would tidy up, wouldn't they.

Once the rooms are clear of delegates and you have bathed in the glory of a successful event, it is time to dismantle everything that you came with. As with the assembly process, it is useful to assign specific responsibilities to members of the event team and to manage the process as smoothly as possible. For larger events, keep a checklist of everything that needs to be done on a flip chart and, as items are completed, score them out. Using a clearly visible list like this gives everyone involved an easy reference and allows them to decide themselves how they can best help others once they have completed their own tasks.

If events are to be a frequent part of your life, you will want a venue to welcome you back with open arms. To make this a certainty, try as much as possible to leave the venue rooms as you found them, litter-free and ready for the cleaning staff to prepare them for the next users.

This may seem like common sense but you will be surprised how easy it is, at the end of a particularly stressful event, to follow the impulse to cut and run. Your reputation is worth more than a few sheets of paper.

Providing venue feedback

As you leave with the last load of equipment, make a point of contacting your conferencing contact at the venue. Show them your feedback from the evaluation forms; if they are worth their salt, they will be eager to read it. Add any feedback of your own, positive and negative but always leave a nice, juicy positive comment to the last and tell them you'll be back.

If you've had any particularly excellent service from the conferencing staff, make a point of following up your feedback with a thank you letter to the venue manager. A little careful attention to detail now will buy you royal treatment on your next visit.

Margaret was about to slide quietly away when her colleague Ben, walked in looking full of energy. “Where do you get the energy, Ben?” she asked. “I pace myself” he stated in a matter of fact way “the day ain't over till it's over”

Commercial Cleaning Companies – A Strategy For The Future

A previous article looked at this in general terms with regard to a start up cleaning company. This article will concentrate on a strategy for an established company to follow if it wants to be even more successful and continue expanding into the future. The nature of cleaning is changing and the criteria companies use to choose their cleaners is also changing. Little by little companies are realising that it is more economical and administratively easier to find a cleaning company that can meet all their cleaning requirements. Very few cleaning companies are able to do this or have wanted to do so in the past. They have chosen to concentrate on a particular specialism and develop that. So we have firms that are office cleaners, carpet cleaners, window cleaners, stone cleaners, kitchen cleaners, and ventilation duct cleaners to name but a few. Each of these builds up their own particular client base and their only way of growing is to expand their area of coverage. Many cleaning companies are reluctant to do this and consequently their potential for growth is limited. A large proportion of these companies are run by a single person who is quite happy to restrict themselves to a physically manageable area and manage a finite number of clients. However if you own and operate a company or want to start a cleaning company that has wider visions then you have an opportunity to take advantage of the changing market place. The medium and larger sized companies and corporations are now beginning to look for cleaning companies that can provide them with all the cleaning services they require. From the simple and straightforward office cleaning on a daily basis to the six monthly or yearly cleaning of their ventilation ducts. If the cleaning company wishes to take advantage of this and gain corporate clients then it must expand its areas of expertise. If the financial burden of doing this is too great for the company to bear then the alternative is to find other firms who specialise in these various areas and work together either as partnerships or sub-contract out these fields of specialist cleaning. Sub-contracting has its pitfalls and to a large extent should be avoided if possible but it is a way into this new market place until you can develop your own expertise. Companies working together in some form of partnership who share the same goals is a better solution but ultimately it is better if your own company can develop within these various areas and then you have complete control without the concern and constant anxiety of being ‘let down’. Become an expert in carpet cleaning, window cleaning, deep cleaning of commercial kitchens and ventilation duct cleaning. That way you can offer your prospective clients the complete cleaning package, increase your turnover and continue to grow.

Event Delegates Are Lifetime Friends

Customer relationships are meat and drink to Gary Chapman, he runs a consultancy company that trains and informs corporate organizations about Customer Relationship Management (CRM). His company runs public seminars around the country on a weekly basis, dealing with thousands of delegates every year; here is his advice to you if you are planning a similar event.

The registration process may be your first opportunity to connect personally with a customer and demonstrate to them what your values and standards are. Like all relationships, we generally judge what someone is like in the first 60 seconds and this is no different. You should consider each delegate as a potential lifetime friend who you are meeting for the first time and you should give them absolutely no cause to question your professionalism.

If this is the first time you have run an event and your admin staff have not yet cut their teeth either on delegates or on the product (the event), take plenty of time to script everything from the first telephone answer to the most awkward set of requests and questions you can think up. Give your people a chance to role-play those first 60 seconds until it becomes absolutely second nature.
Answer before the first ring

Consider what standards your admin team ought to be meeting. One organization demands that all of its telephones are answered “on or before the first ring” to demonstrate its urgency and alertness. “Hey! That's not physically possible”, I hear you say. Well, some telephone systems ring first at the receiving end before the caller hears the first ring in their ear, meaning that if you pick up after the first ring, the caller won't hear a ring. Although that can be a bit scary, you may want to set your standard around 3 rings and stick to it.

There are all sorts of other standards that are worth discussing with the admin team to ensure that your customers get a good standard of service:

• call-back within a promised timescale

• paperwork posted within 8 working hours

• emails sent within 4 working hours

• database up to date at the end of each working day

• payment reminders sent out 21 days, 28 days and 35 days after registration

Having set standards, make sure there is an easy way of checking that they are being adhered to. It is better that the admin team has their own monitoring system that you can check from time-to-time than to have big brother/sister keeping a permanent watchful eye on standards.

Gary Chapman also encourages his Admin Team to treat one another in the same way, using the same standards that they would use with an external customer. This way you actually remove stress and conflict as there is no potential to make a wrong decision. “What's the point of double standards?” asks Gary “Any reasoning person, given the choice, would choose the easier option. That's how standards slip. We don't give ourselves the choice!”

Canadian Immigration And Health Insurance

My purpose is to discuss the important information that you'll need to know if you are thinking about or planning on moving to Canada as a permanent resident. In this article, we're going to talk about some of the first things you need to do when you arrive in Canada as a permanent resident. Health Insurance Card One of the first things you'll want to do after arriving is apply for health insurance cards for every member of your family. Applications are available in many places, including doctor's offices and pharmacies. These cards allow you to receive care through the Canadian health insurance program for the following services: - Examination and treatment by physicians and most specialists - Many types of surgery - Hospitalization - X-rays and laboratory tests - Immunizations You will not have to pay for these services, these expenses are covered by the taxes that you will be paying as a working Canadian permanent resident. In most provinces in Canada, you can begin receiving medical coverage as soon as you apply. In Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, and British Columbia, however, you must wait 3-months from the date you apply for your coverage to begin. In the meantime, short-term health insurance is available through private companies. You may also want to ask potential employers about their health coverage options as well. Many employers provide additional health insurance benefits that cover expenses, such as prescription drugs and dental care. Social Insurance Number Before you begin working in Canada, you need to have a Social Insurance Number (SIN). This 9-digit number is used to help you receive the social benefits you are entitled to as a Canadian permanent resident and to ensure that you are paying taxes to help support those benefits. To apply for a SIN, you should visit a local office of the Human Resources and Skills Development (HRSD) to complete an application. You should also bring along your Permanent Resident card to proof your identity and your residency status. The cost of application is $10, and it takes about three weeks for you to receive your card. You can begin working before your receive your SIN card, however. You simply need to provide your employer with proof that you have applied. Employment In most cases, you will also want to begin searching for work almost immediately. It is possible to have a position lined up even before you apply for permanent resident status, but chances are that you'll be unemployed when you first arrive. Depending on the type of work you are searching for, you may first need to apply for permission to engage in that profession. In Canada, some careers are classified as regulated fields. These fields included doctors, lawyers, teachers, etc. In order to obtain work in these areas, you will need to contact the regulatory office in the province where you intend to work. The regulations vary from province to province. The regulatory board will have to evaluate your experience and credentials then decide whether you need to take further steps to meet their standards. Some trades, such as carpenter or plumber, are also considered to be regulated. Therefore, you must make sure that you have the appropriate licensing before attempting to work in those fields. Carpentry and plumbing, as well as 43 other trades, are considered Red Seal Trades. This means that the regulations for that trade are the same in all provinces. Therefore, if you are a licensed welder in Quebec, you can also do that type of work in New Brunswick without having to go through another assessment. Fortunately, the majority of jobs in Canada are non-regulated, so you can begin searching for a position in your chosen field as soon as you arrive. One of the best ways to find a position in Canada is to use the Job Bank service. This online site allows you to post up to 3 employee profiles that can be viewed by employers. You can also view postings placed by employers throughout Canada. The daily newspapers in all of the provinces also include job listings.

Event Catering; The Most Primitive Form Of Comfort

Nancy did not consider herself to be fussy. She was just trying to eat a healthy diet which included herbal teas. The trouble was; when she attended seminars and workshops, a frequent part of her job, she was always offered coffee in the breaks and rarely, if ever, her chosen beverage. Even when she brought along her own herbal tea bags, the venue could never seem to be trusted to supply boiling hot drinkable water to complete the infusion.

The dietary requirements of your delegates can be very complex. You may have to deal with vegans, vegetarians, fruitarians, those on a raw food diet, those with nut allergies, wheat intolerance, dairy intolerance and, who knows, maybe the occasional carnivore. Of course, it is unlikely that you will be producing the food yourselves; however it is important that you have a method of keeping an accurate record of this information to pass on to your caterers.

If your chosen venue does not provide catering directly, they will most probably be able to recommend a few companies with a good reputation.

Selecting a catering company to assist you can be a pleasant job as those who are proud of their track record will insist that you sample the product before you make your order.

For longer workshops and events, you may need to provide at least one meal. Although the food should be nutritious and interesting, try to make sure that it is not too heavy on the calories otherwise you may lose half of your audience to siesta time. Take advice from your caterer, they should be able to suggest a range of menus that will be appropriate. When you pass on the information regarding special dietary needs, make sure that those dishes are carefully labeled as they tend to be tasty and interesting unlike traditional buffet food and might disappear into the wrong stomachs.

Of course if you are running a smaller event, none of this need bother you. Wrong! There is just as much potential for drama with coffee and biscuits. Those with allergies and intolerances will still have hunger pangs, so fruit, nut-free, wheat free snacks and a good range of beverages should be available. Clean, boiling hot water for those who bring their own special brews, coffee, decaf, black tea, herbal teas and fruit teas are the minimum requirements if you want to impress. Fortunately most well equipped venues will have a beverage dispenser serving just about every requirement.

You may get no extra stars for getting the catering right, but get it wrong and your event will be a scar on people's memories.

Ask Nancy and she will regale you with countless tales of poor catering experiences, of tepid, dirty water served in a coffee stained pot, of serving staff who fail to understand her requirements and, worst of all, of being totally ignored because she will not accept the standard cup of coffee. Ask her about the seminars and she is, at best, vague.

Now, ask yourself again: Are you ready to take a leap of faith and start to recognize your lifelong dreams - or not?

Evaluating Your Customer

It is one thing to make a sales presentation, but it is another thing to make a sales presentation without first evaluating your customer. For all you know, you could be selling your customer something that they already have, or something they don’t want, don’t need, or can’t afford.

This is why it is so very important to take your customer in, sit them down, make them feel comfortable, and get to know them and what their needs are. Once you have done this, you can then sell them a product based on what their needs are and not what you think they are.

On a personal note . . .

I learned the importance of evaluating your customer the hard way. A few years ago, I was a branch manager working in a bank branch. One particular customer of the bank approached me in my office about opening a savings account for her daughter.

Once I explained to her the process of opening a savings account, I proceeded to tell her all about a current promotion we were having on our home equity loans. She sat there and listened very politely and patiently as I very proudly went down the list of all the benefits, features, and tax breaks that come with a home equity loan.

Once I had finished my rehearsed presentation, she said to me;

That all sounds very nice, and it is something that I will consider in the near to distant future. She than went on to tell me that she and her husband rented the house they lived in.

So there you have it, I tried to sell a home equity loan to someone without a house.

Needless to say, my face turned a deeper shade of scarlet, and I felt like an idiot.

But hey, I learned from my mistake. Had I asked some simple probing questions before I went straight for the sale, I would have saved myself a lot of embarrassment.

You will be amazed at what you can find out from people just by asking them a few simple questions about themselves. Remember, people love to talk about themselves. Their jobs, their pets, their kids, just about everything.

I once had a friend who owned a shoe store, and his inventory was made up mostly of sneakers. One day a man walked into his store to buy a pair of sneakers. As my friend assisted him with his decision, he struck up a friendly conversation with him. As it turned out, this customer ran a basketball camp during the summer and he loved to talk about it. A few minutes into the conversation, my friend and his customer had come to an agreement. All of the boys and girls that attended the customers basketball camp would receive a 10% discount on their sneakers if they purchased them at my friend’s store.

So, as you can see, my friend increased his sales that summer simply by striking up a conversation with his random customer and asking a few questions.

Imagine going to your doctors office with an ailment and having him prescribe you a medication without asking what your symptoms were. Would you take the medication?

The same principal applies.

It really isn’t rocket science, it’s just friendly conversation, get to know your customer and watch one sale turn into many.

Why service only one of your customers needs when you can service them all.

CD Replication: An Affordable Way to Get Your Voice Heard

Whether you're a motivational speaker in search of an audience, a musician in search of a recording label, or a company in search of customers, using CDs or DVDs is an extremely effective means of communicating your message. Marketing and advertising professionals understand the power of audio and video to leave a lasting impression, and frequently insert CDs or DVDs into mass mailings, magazine polybags, and press kits. They know something that those who are just making a name for themselves aren't aware of: CD duplication and DVD replication isn't as expensive as it might seem. Whether you're putting together your own press mailing, developing a demo CD to send to movers and shakers, wish to sell video of your performance, or want to showcase your products and services, you can add an extra touch of professionalism by working with a company that specializes in CD and DVD duplication. When it comes to cost, it works like other forms of printing: the higher the quantity, the lower the per-piece price. For example, if you want to produce a CD in a printed cardboard sleeve, you could get 1,000 made for about a dollar a piece. Up the quantity to 10,000, and the price drops to around 56 cents a piece. This price typically includes replicated discs with full-color offset or silkscreen printing, a printed cardboard sleeve, insertion, and shrinkwrap. Bulk quantities of CDs and DVDs are even less expensive. One thousand CDs run only about 45 cents each, while DVDs are priced as low as $650 per thousand, or 65 cents per DVD. As for packaging, a printed paper sleeve adds only about seven cents per CD or DVD, while a jewel case is about 20 cents per case. DVD box packaging is also an option at around $1.20 per DVD for 1,000, and about 67 cents per piece for 10,000. This kind of replication and packaging typically includes printing, a full-color case wrap, assembly, and overwrap. A top spine label generally costs a few cents more. If you're planning to do a mailing, you can use a CD replication service that will duplicate your CD, then insert it into a cardboard mailer and shrinkwrap it. Pricing for the replicated discs and mailers runs about $1.60 each for 1,000, or about 50 cents each for 10,000. If you want to go the extra step and take advantage of cutting-edge technology, the best DVD and CD duplication services have products like FlexDVD, which is a DVD that can bend without snapping or cracking. This is perfect for cover mounting and mass mailings. Another new and intriguing technology is called "Rub 'n Smell," whereby a scent is embedded into a varnish that covers the printed side of the disc and is activated when the recipient rubs the disc's label. Now, that's the sweet smell of success! The bottom line, though, is that whether you're marketing yourself or your business, you can take advantage of the same techniques that huge marketing firms use - without breaking the bank.

Evaluate Your Event To Accumulate Profit

If you are running workshops, seminars or conferences like Oslo , Norway based Ulrika Fredrikson you won't be doing it as a charitable act. Let's face it, even if you were a charity, you'd have to cover your costs somehow. Ulrika runs a combination of sponsored and paid-for events which improves the ticket price for delegates but increases the pressure on her to fill seats to satisfy the advertising benefit for her sponsors.

Whether your event cost $10 or $10,000 to stage, you should, for business reasons, calculate your return on investment. This is not as straightforward as making sure that the gate money covers your costs, although that is, in itself, important. To be rigorous you will be drawing information about all of the positive and negative effects the event has had on your bank account, your reputation and your graying hair both now and in the future and you will be making it available to whomever needs to know in a form that is easy to digest.
Compiling event information

To properly compile all of your event information you might want to put some time aside to revisit all of the details about the design, development, running and follow-up activities associated with the event.

Financial Information

Put together the financial information and split it down into:

• planned expenditure

• unplanned expenditure

• direct income

• indirect but related income

Planned expenditure is everything that you predicted you would spend on the project from the first including purchases, rentals, staff hours and expenses. Unplanned expenditure is anything else over and above what you originally thought was required. You are splitting this out, not because it is in some way wrong to incur unplanned expenditure but because it is part of the learning and self-training process. When you next run an event you will have a better idea of the contingency costs you ought to be planning.

Direct income comes from ticket sales and any other sales like promotional items, books or products associated with the event. Indirect income covers any additional products or services that have been purchased since the event and the sale of which can be attributed to running the event. This is where the water starts to get a little muddy, as it is highly likely that some of your delegates will have been approached by your company many times in the past and it may become difficult to attribute a sales success to this event alone. By far the best thing to do here is to count the sale, or a proportion of it, say, a quarter and highlight it as being influenced by a combination of marketing tactics including the event.

Ulrika has been in the conferencing business for around ten years and she knows that almost 50% of follow-through sales for her own company and for her sponsors can take twelve months or more to reveal themselves. Her advice is to acknowledge this but not count it as part of this event's income.

Melanina a wolne rodniki

Syntetyk i natura

Spróbuję przedstawić wam zalety i wady opalania.

Większości z nas opalanie dodaje wigoru i poprawia samopoczucie.

Stwórz swój indywidualny program opalania, a w razie problemów poproś o pomoc obsługę solarium.
# Do opalania w solarium używaj specjalnych kosmetyków. Zapewniają one ochronę i pielęgnację opalonej skóry oraz zwiękaszają szybkość, intensywność i skuteczność opalania.
# Dobierz odpowiedni kosmetyk do rodzaju karnacji, stopnia zaawansowania opalenizny i intensywności oczekiwanej opalenizny. W razie problemów, poproś o pomoc obsługę solarium.
# Kosmetyki stosuj bezpośrednio przed opalaniem w solarium. Rozprowadzaj je równomiernie i dokładnie na skórze, zwracając uwagę na najbardziej delikatne i trudne do oalenia miejsca (twarz, dekolt, piersi, kolana, łokcie, wewn. powierzchnie ramion i nóg).
# Do pielęgnacji opalonej skóry, używaj kosmetyków specjalnie do tego przeznaczonych. Skóra po opalaniu wymaga szczególnej uwagi i troski. Stosuj kosmetyki regenerujące, nawilżające i przedłużające opaleniznę.
# Podczas opalania w solarium zamknij oczy i włóż specjalne okulary ochronne.
